Hello, I am a Taiwan national, and I was refused entry at SFO airport last month, my B-1 visa cancelled, and I was badly mistreated for 24 hours (no outside contact, little food/water, continual harassment, etc) based only on a suspicion that I was an "intended immigrant", despite substantial evidence to the contrary. (Based on remarks made by the chief CBP officer, I suspect that personal bias against Taiwan women drove the action.)
1) It appears that the Taiwan consulate can reconsider, and possibly reinstate, my visa, per 22 CFR 41.122(g), if I understand that section correctly. Is this true, and if so, is there a correct procedure to follow to request such a review?
2) Do you have any experience with similar cases of persons wrongfully denied entry and of people who suffered what amounts to assault and wrongful imprisonment at ports of entry, and do you know of successful means of redress and compensation?
